Care and Support White Paper and draft Care and Support Bill

gdh20logo_0002The Care and Support White Paper and draft Care and Support Bill have now been published. These set out how social care will be transformed, from a service that reacts to crises, to one that is built around people’s needs and focuses on wellbeing and prevention. The draft Care and Support Bill provides the legal framework to make the Government’s plans a reality, and will fundamentally reform the legislation which underpins social care. Alongside these documents, the Government has also published a progress report on social care funding.
