UPDATE...Andy Burnham to reveal plans for psychological therapies and mental wellbeing...
We are delighted to confirm that Andy Burnham will be speaking at this year’s Psychological Therapies in the NHS conference, The Savoy, London.
This, the third national Psychological Therapies in the NHS conference examines the challenges and opportunities of evidence based practice for the Psychotherapy professions and is a unique two-day event that brings together leading clinicians, policy makers, academics and service users from across the UK, Europe and the US, to debate at consider the future of Psychological Therapies within the NHS.
Over the course of 2 days this unique conference delivers a wealth of presentations covering a variety of topical issues delivered by leading healthcare professionals through practical, evidence based case studies, interactive debates and reviews and more.
Day Onebegins by looking at cutting edge developments in research and evaluation and a keynote address from Professor Cary Cooper CBE Lead Scientist Foresight Project who will discuss mental capital and wellbeing and Professor Glenys Parry delivers an independent evaluation of the IAPT pilot phase. A groundbreaking plenary session chaired by Professor Peter Fonagy welcomes three world-leading innovators in outcomes feedback.
Day Two takes delegates into new territory, policy and practice to look at how the concept of ‘family practitioner’ can be applied across Psychological Therapies. Delegates will hear about national plans for both children's and older people’s well-being with an opportunity to join a debate with guest and panel speakers including Lord Layard and Professor Sube Banerjee.
