“New rights to high quality care including consulting on the right for patients nearing the end of their life to choose where they wish to spend their final days and new rights to high quality standards of service and care that will be clearly set out in the new NHS Constitution.”
Chaired by Eve Richardson Chief Executive The National Council for Palliative Care (NCPC), this one day conference begins with a keynote opening from Tessa Ing Head of End of Life Care Department of Health who discusses where we are now with the End of Life Care Strategy, improvements and developments since its release, and what is next for End of Life Care?
With a concluding presentation from Professor Mayur Lakhani CBE Chairman The National Council for Palliative Care (NCPC), the conference closes with a look forward to future developments in End of Life Care and moving forward to the National Council for Palliative Care’s 2030 Vision Project. He comments “I am delighted to invite you to this important conference. As a practising GP, I am reminded on a daily basis how the issue that matters most to patients is quality.
